I have engaged Prue Watson for landscape design and construction over the past 20 years. Prue has completed several projects for me in the Carlton and Fitzroy areas and is currently co-ordinating all the landscaping including designs for custom built planter boxes for my personal residence in Fitzroy. This project was featured in the July 2010 issue of Habitus and also in the March-April 2011 issue of Vogue Living.

Prue has a vast knowledge of different styles and trends to rely on for her inspiration. I call Prue’s style contemporary classicism.

Prue has worked with our family for a number of years designing a garden from a barren dirt-scape to a beautiful and functional landscape for our new home, and designing a garden at our old home to enhance the established trees and beds already there. Prue was very easy to work with. She understood our requirements and had brilliant ideas. She co-ordinated the planting and landscaping process, including multiple terracing, retaining walls in both the front and back of the property, and was brilliant in the choice of plant for each zone or sourcing more established trees. She created a variety in different zones such as around the pool, an orchard area, a bamboo entry, and a meadow effect in amongst the trees in the front framing the drive, but not without harmony. We enjoy our garden every day and I appreciate Prue’s caring and professional way.

After meeting with several garden designers, we engaged Prue Watson in 2010 to redevelop our complete garden. Prue project managed the entire re-development including contractor selection, design, construction and planting and we were very happy with the outcome. Prue consulted us on plant selection, materials and provided us with regular updates and open and honest communication at all times. I have no hesitation in being a reference for Prue.

Prue was excellent in helping us design the lovely front and rear gardens and courtyard pool area for our newly-built home. No requests were too difficult and no detail overlooked on what was an extensive project on a fully cleared home building site. We have since asked Prue again to add some additional features to the gardens. I can highly recommend her work without reservation.
